UMMA was founded to meet urgent needs—and that mission continues. But we’re also looking ahead. Our vision is bold: a Lake County where everyone has a stable place to live, access to food, and a real path toward self-sufficiency. That kind of impact doesn’t happen overnight, but step by step, we’re building the infrastructure to make it real.

Over the past year, we’ve expanded our housing program, launched new career pathways, and introduced more consistent support across all services. We're focused on outcomes—making sure every person we serve walks away with more than short-term relief. We want to offer opportunity, dignity, and a way forward.

As we grow, transparency and collaboration will remain key. Our new website reflects that commitment. I hope it gives you a better understanding of what we do and why it matters. UMMA is here to stay—and we’re just getting started.
