UMMA Fest 2017 a Success!

Our first UMMA Fest has come and passed, and what an event it was. Face painting, delicious food, free haircuts, and good company were all present, showing the rich diverse vibrancy of our community! None of it would have been possible without the generous donations from local businesses, our cities leaders who attended, and of course our benevolent volunteers. Very special thanks to Mayor Cunningham, Congressman Schneider, Mayor Rockingham of North Chicago, and Amy Whitis for joining us and adding their presence to the fun! Thanks also goes to AVCS for helping us with the sound system and to Papa Marcos Restaurant, Jimmy John's, Mike's Pizza, and My Halal Kitchen for providing the great food.
